Forgiveness is not a horror game that takes the easy way as many do now with jump scares and such (although jump scares are always great!) but delves much deeper in to the players mind, the first thing you do before you play the game itself is take a personality quiz, which called us a sloth afterwards, so already the game was worryingly accurate!
From there you find yourself in a locked room where a man who refers to himself as god speaks to you over the intercom, telling you that you are a bad person however just like him you have one chance to redeem yourself and that starts by trying to find a way to escape this room and not be murdered by this psychopath.
Forgiveness looks good and this demo shows a lot of promise, you are given a time of thirty minutes to crack the code and escape in and it really is an interesting premise but there is never the overall fear you have with some other horror games, however the mix of problem solving and mystery should surely please armchair detectives.
The game can be a little over sensitive at times and that can take away from the overall feeling of fear at times, but other than that this is a really promising and exciting demo.
