Skitch is a screen shot program with a difference it is rather no frills but this makes for a great application, it’s incredibly simple to understand and user friendly, it’s not full of complicated or unnecessary extra features so it runs smooth and quickly.
It also has a couple of nice but very easy to use features such as being able to take a screen shot then place arrows on it to show exactly which part of the screen you are referring to if you happen to be explaining something to someone else who is in a remote location.
Rather than giving the person a detailed description of where they should be looking on the screen to find the thing that you may be referring to you can take a screen shot, of either the full screen or a just the section that you require and then add an arrow to directly what you want them to see.
There is a lot of screen shot programs available at the moment but Skitch must be the most user friendly screen shot program I have come across, it has a very simple design which is by no means a bad thing and is really natural and easy to navigate, it is also free which is another bonus!
If you don’t have much experience with this kind of program and are looking for a screen shot program this could be exactly what you are looking for and even if you are more experienced user of this type of program it is recommended to give Skitch a chance as on top of the benefits already mentioned it also very fast, simple to use and reliable.
