Flash games were some of the most creative games to be around, due to the utter lack of rules that people follow. Some Flash games even went on to inspire a massive part of the indie scene, with game design philosophies carrying forward. However, many Flash games were also inspired by commercial games at the time. The Classroom series is a fantastic example of that, being inspired by stealth games, especially Metal Gear. Let's look at The Classroom.
To play The Classroom, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
The game's premise is simple - you play as a bully who's bullied a nerd into letting him cheat off of him in tests. Every level involves you walking over to the nerd and holding left click until the cheat bar is full. This is complicated, however, by the teacher constantly looking around and if he spots you once, you lose the game.
What shakes up the repetition is the story, surprisingly. Sometimes, the teacher will be staring at you closely, until some in-game event gives you an opening to slip away and cheat. This can range from the relatively benign, like a student suffering from a panic attack, to shocking extremes, like an active terrorist attack.
This game isn't exactly easy and is extremely unforgiving. It will test your reflexes, pattern recognition, and movement skills to the brink. However, a surprisingly engaging story makes The Classroom an easy game to recommend.
