THE INQUISITOR 2 1.0

DOOM is one of the oldest FPSes in existence, and its engine is famously so robust that it can run on pretty much anything and also create pretty much anything.  From FPSes to RPGs to companions to a city living game, it has a ton of different mods that can all do different things. One of them is THE INQUISITOR 2.

To install THE INQUISITOR 2, you need to have GZDoom. Then, copy the .pk3 file into the GZDoom folder and drag it on top of the GZDoom.exe to start playing.

This part is a prequel to the first part. You play in a neighboring kingdom to Khorus - Krondor. This town hasn't been ruined at the time you're playing. The castle you're in is filled with peasants, and it also has a tavern, a smithy, and a church. All of these locations are filled with items you can purchase with gold that can help you dispatch your enemies more efficiently.

If this all sounds completely foreign to the usual DOOM stuff, that's because it is. The mod maker turned this game into a first person RPG much like Elder Scrolls, complete with dungeons for you to earn gold in.

If there's a downside, it's that the four weapons you can use are incredibly clunky and don't do a very good job at managing the horde of monsters that the game throws at you. It feels unbalanced and frustrating at times.

Overall, THE INQUISITOR 2 is an incredible total overhaul that any DOOM fan should give a shot.
