Flash games were like the wild west. During the time they were around, modern game design in and of itself wasn't fully fleshed out. Sure, there were a couple of soft rules, but experimentation was everywhere.  Flash games were and are the most experimental games you can play around as they don't really care what's "right" and what's "wrong". Sometimes, they created whole genres based on how limited Flash games are. The Last Stand is one of these games.

To install The Last Stand, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

The gameplay is pretty simple. You use WASD to move your character around, move the mouse to aim, and click to open fire. Your main goal in the game is to survive 20 days until a rescue party arrives, while the zombie hordes become more and more numerous. During the day, you're given 12 points for you to spread between base repair, searching for weapons, and searching for survivors. Each of these activities will give you a better chance of survival at night when the zombies attack.

It's a pretty straightforward game, especially because of when it was released. The main difficulty comes from how to prioritize your resources, but once you have that down, you've basically won already. All in all, The Last Stand is very much a product of its time, but it's still a good time.
