If anybody's not familiar with Ragnarok Online, it was a cutesy style top-down MMORPG that had an emphasis on grinding and a ton of different classes. It was so focused around grinding that players spending hours in a single zone to get strong enough for the next was not uncommon. However, as the industry developed, it steadily got further and further away from that kind of gameplay. Well, some people really missed that style of gameplay and progression, and Tree of Savior is here to fix that itch.
To install Tree of Savior, make sure Steam is installed and go to this link to install the game.
The main draw is the combat, which is good because it will be what you're doing for a majority of the time. The way the monsters obliterate into tiny fragments into small fireworks is endlessly addictiung, and killing dozens at once will start a festival level extravaganza. This game emphasizes mob grinding over quest progression, and it shows in the amount of EXP you get vs time spent from both avtivities.
There are a ton of different classes. You start with four archetypes - Swordsman, Wizard, Cleric, or Archer. Every 15 levels, you will choose between two different choices of job progression. There are 7 such tiers, giving this game way more classes than most other MMOs. It gets ridiculous the further you go.
Overall, Tree of Savior is a throwback to the old time korean MMORPGs, but it doesn't pretend to be any more than that. If that's what you're looking for, you should definitely give this game a download.
